To extremely precisely control the flow rate of a glass molten material without having a bad influence on the thermal uniformity/chemical homogeneity of the glass molten material while the glass molten material is supplied to a manufacture process.
The method and the apparatus for having an influence on the flow of the glass molten material with a controlled method in the transportation of the flow of the glass molten material from a melting furnace to a treatment process are provided. The molten flow is controlled without having an influence on the temperature of the molten material by generating electric field and magnetic field at the same time to increase or block the the molten flow and to produce force acting in the same or opposed direction to the main flow direction. The process is suitable particularly for supplying the homogeneous glass molten material to the glass manufacture process while performing precise control.
