PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for wrapping flat strip-shaped articles like chewing gum.

CONSTITUTION: This wrapping apparatus are provided with means 110 for severing products 10, means 100 for feeding, means 300 for wrapping and means 400 for grouping. It also has the first fast region where articles pass through without substantially accompanying deceleration or acceleration. In this mechanical region, chewing gum is first cut from a sheet into a strip 10 by cutting apparatus 110, and then individually wrapped by means of a rotary drum 340. In succession, those strips are combined with the grouping means 400 into groups.
