Title:
METHOD, APPARATUS, AND TEMPERATURE DETECTING SENSOR FOR PREVENTION OF OVERHEATING OF INDUCTION FURNACE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3441663
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent molten metal in a high frequency induction furnace from being overheated.
SOLUTION: The outside of a temperature-detecting sensor 1 for detecting temperature of molten metal by being brought into contact with the molten metal is covered with a protecting pipe 6 consisting of Mo-ZrO2 material to enhance melting-loss resistance performance and heat-impact resistance performance. As a result detecting temperature of molten cast iron exceeding 1500°C continuously is available, and in regard to delay of a response property of the temperature-detecting sensor 1 because of being provided with the protecting pipe 6, a predetermined algorism predicting an actual temperature (a true temperature) of the molten metal at that moment revises a detected value of a temperature at each time from detected values of temperatures of the temperature- detecting sensor 1 by a basic experiment to compute and output the true temperature.
