To provide a method and an apparatus for testing a control device of an elevator capable of independently testing a control circuit from a main circuit of the control device of the elevator and shortening the time waiting for the completion of the manufacture of either circuit.

The main circuit 1 having an inverter 10 to drive a motor is separated from the control circuit 2 for detecting the car call registration or the hall call registration to control the inverter 10 and control the operation of the elevator. The main circuit 1 is tested by a main circuit testing apparatus comprising a main circuit tester 200 while the control circuit 2 is tested by a control circuit testing apparatus comprising a control circuit tester 300 and a specification database server 301. Only one of the main circuit and the control circuit can be independently tested.
