Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSFERING YARN WHILE WOUND ON PACKAGE TO ROTATING BOBBIN OF WINDER WITHOUT LOWERING YARN SPEED AND LOSSING YARN PRACTICALLY OR PERFECTLY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5418945
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
The winder includes two chucks 25T, 25B and a common drive roll 20. A housing 15 has traverse guides for each bobbin on a chuck. A yarn pusher 45 is movable longitudinally of the housing 15. Yarn transfer devices 50, 60, one for each chuck 25T, 25B, can swing the chucks to and from the drive roll 20. Each device 50, 60 carries a yarn deflecting bar 55, 65. When the packages on chuck 25T are fully wound, the chuck 25T is moved away from, and the empty chuck 25B is pressed against, the drive roll 20. Yarn pusher 45 then disengages the yarns from their traverse guides and moves them into alignment with yarn catching grooves on the empty chuck 25B. The transfer device 50 of the full chuck 25T then swings its bar 55 between the full packages 74, and the drive roll 20 to move the yarns into said catching grooves in the rotating chuck 25B, where the yarns are caught and served from the full bobbins. The yarn pusher 45 then releases the yarns into their traverse guides, for normal winding procedure.
