Abstract:

To transport an equivalent quantity of heat to the case where water is employed as medium through the medium of a smaller motive power or a pipe having a smaller diameter than that in transporting cold through the medium of water by transporting a specific hydrate slurry while maintaining a specific solidus rate.

The method of this invention is to transport a hydrate slurry including particles prepared by cooling an aqueous solution of a guest compound capable of forming hydrate at ≥0°C while maintaining ≤38% solidus rate through the medium of a piping system pref. in a state maintained so as for heat transportation motive power to become smaller than that in transporting heat through the medium of water in correspondence to an arbitrary flow speed of hydrate slurry in a piping system. The guest compound is pref. at least one selected from tetra(n-butyl)ammonium, tetra(i-butyl)ammonium and tri(i-amyl) sulfonium.
