To provide a dredged mud treatment method capable of subjecting dredged mud containing a harmful substance to detoxification treatment with little effect exerted on the circumferential environment in a dredged mud treatment process.
Mud on the bottom of the water is dredged by a dredging means (S1) and fine particulate matter is separated from the dredged mud to subject the fine particulate mud obtained by separation to dehydration treatment (S3) while an insolubilizing agent is added to the dehydrated fine particulate mud (S4) to subject this fine particulate mud to baking treatment (S5). Since a harmful substrate such as dioxins or heavy metals is contained in the fine particulate matter, it can be efficiently treated by separating the fine particulate matter from the dredged water to treat the same. Further, the baking efficiency of the fine particulate mud is enhanced by dehydrating the separated fine particulate mud to reduce the moisture thereof before baking fine particulate mud 65A before baking to confine the harmful substance before the baking treatment (S5).
