Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably enhance the decomposition treatment of a surfactant in wastewater by increasing the supply amt. of wastewater set low with respect to the max. treatment capacity of a wastewater treatment apparatus by keeping the treatment efficiency of the surfactant in wastewater optimum by restricting the inflow amt. of wastewater by using the foaming originating from the surfactance as an index.
SOLUTION: Wastewater containing a surfactant is supplied from a supply pipe 11 to be introduced into the biological reaction section 2 in a reaction tank 1 to decompose the surfactant in wastewater by the decomposing microorganism group of a fixed bed 5 and treated water passes under a slit 4 to flow to an aeration section 3. Next, air is blown in the treated water in the aeration section 3 by an air feeder 14 to sufficiently supply oxygen necessary for aerobic decomposition. The foaming generated in the reaction tank 1 is detected by a foam sensor 10 by starting a wastewater inflow amt. control device and, since a flow rate controller 13 can regulate the supply amt. of wastewater of a pump 9 corresponding to a foaming degree and the inflow amt. of wastewater can be increased to a degree not generating foaming, the treatment capacity of the fixed bed 5 can be developed maximally.
