To provide a method and an apparatus for treating water, in each of which the performance of separating suspended matter can be improved.
The apparatus for treating water is provided with a raw water tank 1 to be used also as a mixing part, a micro-nanobubble generation tank 3, a pressure flotation tank 9 and a treated water tank 18. Waste water is introduced into the raw water tank 1 as the water to be treated, and mixed with the micro-nanobubble-containing water produced in the micro-nanobubble generation tank 3. The obtained mixture is introduced into a lower mixing part 10 of the pressure flotation tank 9 by using a raw water tank pump 2 as the water to be treated. The micro-nanobubble-containing water to be treated is introduced into the lower mixing part 10 through a pipeline L1 and the minute bubble-containing water to be treated is also introduced into the lower mixing part 10 through a pipeline L2. As a result, both of micro-nanobubbles and micro bubbles are mixed with each other and the mixed bubbles are generated from the lower mixing part 10 of the pressure flotation tank 9 so that almost all of suspended matter in the water to be treated can be floated.
