Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To turn the pages of a book efficiently and accurately without requiring any troublesome manual work by automating the work for turning the front page or the pages of a book set at a book mounting part.
SOLUTION: A suction pad 2001 sucking the front page 11 of a book 1 facing the book take-out opening 103 of a book containing section 10 is shifted in the direction for opening the front page. Consequently, the front page 11 is separated and opened and then it is abutted against a stopper roller 400. After shifting the suction pad 2001 to a retracting position P3, the released front page 11 is pressed against a feed roller 301 by means of the stopper roller 400. Subsequently, the stopper roller 400 and a feed roller 301 are turned in the feeding direction in order to impart a tension to the front page 11 thus developing the front page 11 planarly. At the same time, the book 1 facing the book take-out opening 103 of the book containing section 10 is separated by the tension acting on the front page 11 and drawn out to the outside of a magazine 101 thus transferring the book 1 including the developed front page 11 onto a book mounting section 40.
