PURPOSE: To make it possible to evenly and automatically wash the inner wall of a cylinder- like body by a method wherein the tip end side of a conduit pipe whose tip end part is connected to a nozzle for jetting wash water toward the external side of the substantially radial direction or the fore side of the axial direction is inserted inside the cylinder-like body from its end and said conduit pipe is rotated around its axis while being moved in a axial direction.
CONSTITUTION: A washing machine body 1 is positioned at the opening of a shell 9 by operating a fork lift 2, and a conduit pipe 3 is advanceel from said body 1 to be positioned in the vicinity of the end member 11 of the shell 9. In this case, a first nozzle 4 is connected to the tip end part of the conduit pipe 3 and sprays high pressure wash water to the inner wall of the shell 9. Simultaneously, while the conduit pipe 3 is rotated wound it axis it is gradually moved toward its base end side and, when it reaches the position of the opening of the shell 9, the first nozzle 4 is replaced with a second nozzle 5. Then, the tip end part of the conduit pipe 3 is positioned in the vicinity of the end member 11 and, after spraying the high pressure wash water to the inner wall, the second nozzle 5 is replaced with a third nozzle 6, by which the high pressure wash water is jetted in a slant direction toward the base end side in the axial direction of the conduit pipe 3. By gradually moving the conduit pipe 3 toward the base end side, attachments and the wash water are also moved toward the opening and are discharged outside.
