To provide a method and an apparatus for working of strips whose plating cost is low even when the strips for multiple row are used.
The method in which a large number of strips for multiple row with areas to be worked repeatedly arranged in rows in the longitudinal direction of the strips and a large number of rows arranged in the direction across the longitudinal direction are successively worked by a working means to work the areas, includes a) a step of arranging the rows on the strips with the working means, b) a step of working the areas to be worked by the arranged working means, c) a step of feeding the strips in the crossing direction to arrange different rows with the working means, d) a step of working the areas to be worked by the working means for different rows, e) a step of repeating the step c) to the step d) before the working is performed for each of the large number of rows, and f) a step of feeding frame members in the longitudinal direction to work the next area on the same row as the row with the worked areas located therein, and repeating the step a) to the step e).
