Title:
METHOD FOR APPLYING EMBOSSED PATTERN TO INORGANIC BUILDING MATERIAL FORMED BY SHEETMAKING PROCESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04142905
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To clearly apply a deep carving embossed pattern in definite depth by forming a plate material by a sheetmaking process to wind the same around a making roll in a laminated state and cutting the laminated one from a making roll to develop the same and subsequently uniformly supplying a liquid imparting fluidity to cement to the surface of the developed body to soften the same prior to pressing the developed body.

CONSTITUTION: An aqueous cement slurry consisting of cement, a silicious raw material, a reinforcing fiber and a necessary amount of water is supplied to a cylinder machine to form a sheet which is, in turn, transferred to a felt belt 1 to be wound around a making roll 2 in a laminated state. The laminated sheet is cut to be flatly developed and transferred by a belt conveyor 3 and water W of room temp. is uniformly sprinkled over the surface of the developed plate-shaped molded body G on the conveyor 3 by a shower 4 and, subsequently, an embossed pattern is applied thereto by an embossing press plate 5 having a longitudinal and lateral embossed pattern. The surface shape of the product after emboss-pressing has a deep carving embossed pattern having a clear contour and definite depth.
