Abstract:

To provide a method for applying an ultraviolet ray curable varnish containing a fluorescent component capable of printing a temporal information on an image receiving substrate (a substrate) or a document or the like.

The method is a method for applying a varnish on a document and includes a step of preparing an ultraviolet curable fluorescent varnish containing at least one of a curable monomer and an oligomer, at least one of photo-polymerization initiators and at least one of fluorescent materials, when the fluorescent material is exposed to an activating irradiation, a fluorescent is emitted and then a visible change is occurred on the appearance of the ultraviolet curable fluorescent varnish. Furthermore, the method includes a step of deciding a position where the image is printed on the substrate and a step of digitally printing the ultraviolet curable fluorescent varnish on the substrate after carrying out image registration on only one part or plural parts of the printing position decided on the substrate.
