To provide a method for arranging a nanowire having a desired length in a desired direction and position.
The method for arranging a nanowire comprises sequentially carrying out steps of: leaving a nanowire having two different polarities from each other at both ends at rest on a substrate having two electrodes; applying a voltage of a first polarity to a first electrode to fix one wire end of a second polarity opposite to the first polarity to the first electrode; allowing a fluid to flow from the first electrode to the second electrode while the voltage in the first polarity is applied to the first electrode; setting the voltage of the first electrode to a natural potential, followed by applying a voltage of the second polarity to the second electrode to fix one wire end of the first polarity to the second polarity; allowing a fluid to flow from the second electrode to the first electrode while the voltage of the second polarity is applied to the second electrode; setting the voltage of the second electrode to a natural potential, followed by applying a voltage of the first polarity to the first electrode to fix the wire end of the second polarity to the first electrode; allowing a fluid to flow from the second electrode to the first electrode while the voltage of the first polarity is applied to the first electrode; and allowing a fluid to flow from the first electrode to the second electrode while the voltage of the first polarity is applied to the first electrode.
