The method for assembling the light source device includes a first step for preparing a device 18 for assembling the light source device, a second step for setting the elliptical face reflector 114 on an elliptical face reflector receiver 20, a third step for fixing the emission tube 112 on the elliptical face reflector 114 so that a light receiving amount in an integral sphere 30 is maximum when emitting the emission tube 112, and a fourth step for fixing the auxiliary mirror 116 on the emission tube 112 so that a light receiving amount in the integral sphere 30 is maximum when emitting the emission tube.
