Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of assembling a power roller unit capable of avoiding a contact between an edge part of a rolling groove and a ball and preventing flawing to the surface of the ball when fitting a ball unit on an outer circumference of a shaft and fitting the ball in the rolling groove of a bearing base.
SOLUTION: A cylindrical guide jig 20 with an outer diameter slightly smaller than an inner diameter D4 of a retainer 9 in the ball unit 7 is fitted on the outer circumference of a pivot shaft 2 attached with the baring base 5. The retainer 9 of the ball unit 7 is fitted on the outer circumference of the guide jig 20 and each ball 8 is fitted in the rolling groove 10 of the bearing base 5. The guide jig 20 is pulled off from the shaft 2, a power roller 6 is fitted on the outer circumference of the shaft 2, and a rolling groove 11 of the power roller 6 is fitted on each ball 8.
