To provide simple methods for assembling and reassembling a cartridge.

In the method for assembling and reassembling a cartridge that can be attached to or detached from a main body of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, a gear is brought into engagement with a shaft of a development roller in a state that the gear is held by a side cover.
