Collation reference data concerned with the attributes of each target whose personal authentication is required are previously stored in each of plural attributes, and when personal authentication is requested, plural data presented from the person as his (or her) attributes are collated with each of the collation reference data of the corresponding attributes previously stored for the person claimed as himself (or herself) and the collation results of these attributes are synthesized to perform personal authentication.
