PURPOSE: To automatically and uniformly apply a coating liquid to a hemispherical face of a cake by spraying a coating liquid toward the center of the hemispherical face of a cake from plural directions in a specific state and blasting air against the coated surface.
CONSTITUTION: A coating liquid having a viscosity adjusted to 400-1,200 cps is sprayed from plural directions toward the center of a hemispherical face of a cake. The spray of the liquid is repeated once or more changing the spraying direction to apply the coating liquid to a prescribed part inside of the finally coated part of the hemispherical face. Subsequently, air is blasted from ≥4 directions toward the center of the hemispherical face to spread the coating liquid and uniformly apply the liquid to the hemispherical face. A prescribed part at the center of the hemispherical face can be uniformly coated with the liquid by spraying the liquid at least twice changing the direction. The liquid keeps moderate fluidity by the adjustment of the viscosity to 400-1,200cps and the applied coating liquid is uniformly spread over the final coating part on the hemispherical face by blasting air from ≥4 directions.
