To provide a method for the automatic drying of inorganic plates which can dry each inorganic plate uniformly and in an optimum state even when the temperatures of the inorganic plates are different by a pallet unit or a pilling position in a pallet.
In the method, the inorganic plates (1) piled up on the pallet (2) are charged into a transfer means (3) one by one by a charge means (6) and dried while being moved in a dryer (7). The temperature (d2) of each inorganic plate (1) before being charged into the transfer means (3) is measured, the optimum drying time (t) of each inorganic plate (1) is calculated from the measured temperature (d2), and the movement speed (r3) of the transfer means (3) in the dryer (7) is controlled from the calculation results, so that the inorganic plates (1) are dried for the optimum drying time (t).
