Abstract:
To provide a method of grinding a cold shear blade to be used for cutting a round bar steel, allowing short-time and low-cost automatic grinding of grooves of the blade having the unfixed-depth grooves.
The method of grinding the grooves 10 of the blade 9 using a NC grinding machine 1 comprises automatically detecting grinding starting points of the depth different grooves 10 of the blade 9 and grinding the grooves 10 down to set depths which are fixed depths from the grinding starting points, or 0.1 mm-0.5 mm, using a polishing belt 2.
