To melt and mix an absolutely necessary quantity of inoculant with molten metal and to improve the quality of a cast product by adding a quantity of inoculant necessary for an individual mold to the molten metal just before pouring the molten metal into the mold.
A small ladle 3 is controlled to shift in the X-direction based on a sprue position information of a mold, to which no molten metal is poured, from a sprue position detecting means. The small ladle 3 is stopped at a position where the molten metal spouting hole of a contact matches the center position of the sprue. Successively, the small ladle is lowered in the Z-direction and stopped in a state where the lower surface of the contact is brought into close contact with the upper surface of the sprue part of the mold 2. On the other had, a molten metal supplying device 9 is controlled to be moved and stopped in a state that a molten metal supplying hole in a large ladle 10 comes to the width center position in the X-direction of the small ladle 3. The large ladle 10 is tilted to supply the molten metal into the small ladle 3. This supplying quantity can be calculated from the wt. variation value indicated with a load cell measuring the wt. of the large ladle 10 and the tilting control of the large ladle 10 is executed by the control method of a beforehand decided wt. feedback, etc., based on the information, and by this method, the wt. for one mold can be controlled.
