Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically set the display condition suitable for converting a picture element value into the display gradation.
CONSTITUTION: The device consists of a 1st parameter setting part 8 obtaining plural specific picture element values (pvav, pv5, and pv95) from the picture data which is actually obtained, 2nd parameter setting part 9 setting plural specific display gradation values (glav, gl5, and gl95) corresponding to the pvav, pv5, and pv95, and display condition calculating part 10 setting the proper display condition (ML and WW) based on the glav, gl5, and gl95 and the pvav, pv5, and pv95.
