PURPOSE: To stably manufacture the needle of required bent shape by bending with the small radius of curvature succeedingly after bending with max. radius of curvature, on the manufacture of the compound curved needle having plural differential radiuses of curvature.

CONSTITUTION: On the manufacture of the compound curved needle A which are composed with a needle end 1a, a blade end 1b, a drum part 1c, and a root end 1d, and which has radiuses of curvature (r) and R with the metal 1, the rustless metal 1 of austenitic stainless steel, etc., is inserted from the needle end 1a side between the roll 3R and the belt 4 and bent with the radius of curvature R by turning the bending roll 3R of the diameter which is corresponding to the large radius of curvature R composing the curved needle A and the belt 4 to the arrow mark (a) direction. Next, the metal 1 is pulled out by turning the bending roll 3R and the belt 4 to the arrow mark b, the top end part of the metal 1 is executed with bending of the radius of curvature (r) with the bending roll 3r corresponding to the small radius of curvature (r) of the top end of the composite curved needle A and the belt 4, so the compound curved needle having curvatures R and (r) is manufactured with good yield.
