Title:
METHOD FOR BENDING THERMOPLASTIC RESIN PIPE AND DEVICE THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3685056
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bending a thermoplastic resin pipe by which a thermoplastic resin pipe can be bent at a desired curveture on the spot to obtain a bender pipe to be laid to the shape of an excavation terrain and the bender pipe can be bent in accordance with the requirements of various pipe types, with good working properties as well as a bending device.
SOLUTION: This bending device for the thermoplastic resin pipe is operated to thermally soften and bend the thermoplastic resin pipe and then cures the pipe by cooling to obtain the bender pipe. In addition, the device is of such a structure that a belt-shaped heater is wound helically around the outer periphery of the thermoplastic resin pipe and the outer periphery of the belt-shaped heater is covered with a heat insulation and further, the heater and the heat insulation are fixed with a fastening member. Besides, the heater has an attached temperature sensor for detecting temperatures and sends the detected temperature data to a temperature regulator. Further, the temperature of the heater is controlled so that the pipe is heated at a set temperature by means of the temperature regulator in accordance with a temperature signal from the temperature sensor.
