Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a wood chemical pulp bleaching method suppressing AOX generation and improved in color fading.

CONSTITUTION: Unbleached wood chemical pulp is treated with oxygen in an alkaline medium, put to a xylanase treatment, and then treated with hydrogen peroxide at least twice. In this process, a chlorine dioxide treatment is conducted between the 1st stage and 2nd stage hydrogen peroxide treatments.
