Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of bonding treatment of core wires for a transmission belt which makes an improvement in a fraying property, maintains an after-flex-fatigue tenacity retention and improves the adhesion to a rubber.
SOLUTION: The core wires constituted of twisted-yarn cords are treated with a pretreatment solution containing a nitrile rubber modified epoxy resin and an alkylphenol-formaldehyde resin. They are treated successively with an RFL solution constituted of a nitrile rubber latex or a hydrogenated nitrile rubber latex, and then subjected to overcoating with rubber cement prepared by dissolving a nitrile rubber blend or a hydrogenated nitrile rubber blend in a solvent.
