Abstract:
PURPOSE: To highly and equally clean the edge and center of a metallic strip and to prolong the service life of a brushing roll at the time of brushing the center in the cross direction and both ends of the metallic strip with plural brushing rolls.
CONSTITUTION: A brushing roll 3 is continuously shifted little by little from the inside of a metallic strip 1 in the cross direction toward the edge, and both brushing rolls 3 are shifted in direction of the arrow in conformity to the meandering of the strip 1 or the change in the width.
