To provide a method for burning chaff, using chaff fuel in heating in greenhouse cultivation in order to promote the use of agricultural greenhouse cultivation, and regarded as important in terms of low cost, in view of the fact that the use of agricultural greenhouse cultivation in a winter season is extremely low, and an agricultural production self-sufficiency ratio in Japan is low.
This method for burning chaff includes charging chaff into a rotating drum 9 which is previously superheated and has rotary motion. As a result of this, the chaff moves to an upper part by the action of an L type projecting part in the rotating drum 9 (circumferential plate has a net shape) to cause a falling action. Because of the falling action, the chaff shows a rain or snow falling condition, and simultaneously causes ignition by being superheated with a burner 5 and becoming high temperature and burns.
