Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a non-used burner from being burn lost during a single-fuel combustion by a method wherein the same kind of single fuel is simultaneously supplied to a different kind of fuel combustion burner not used during a single-fuel combustion through a bypass pipe having a flow rate control valve and ignited.
CONSTITUTION: During a single-fuel combustion with a B gas at a lower stage gas burner 2-1 of a vertical burner 2, a flow rate control valve V2 in a C gas pipe 3-2 is closed, a flow rate control valve V1 in a B gas pipe 3-1 is opened, B gas is supplied to the lower stage gas burner 2-1 so as to perform its combustion. Then, the flow rate control valve V3 in the bypass pipe is gradually opened, a proper amount of B gas is supplied to the C gas pipe 3-2, and then combustion of B gas is started at the C gas burner 2-2 at the upper stage. At this time, within the boiler furnace 1, the B gas is already ignited an the B gas is ignited by the C gas burner 2-2, too. This combustion enables a stable flame to be attained under the B gas combustion at the lower stage as well as with heat within the furnace 1. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to prevent a burn loss of the non-used burner during a single- fuel combustion.
