Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sustain the wheel characteristics indicative of the traveling distance per wheel rotation in a highly accurate state depending on the state of wheel under traveling at a low cost.
SOLUTION: In a ground primary levitation railway, wheel characteristics are calculated when the vehicle speed is in the range of 30-50 km/h (S710: YES). At first, a 'under calculation' flag is set (S790) and the count of pulses being generated by vehicle position at that time and wheel rotation is preserved as data X (S800). The vehicle position is detected based on a speed electromotive force being induced in a thrust coil. When a counter N reaches 10 (S740: YES), vehicle position and wheel rotation pulse counts are acquired again as data Y (S750). Wheel rotation and traveling distance between preservation of data X and acquisition of data Y are calculated from the data X and Y and the wheel characteristics are calculated base on the wheel rotation and traveling distance thus calculated (S760).
