PURPOSE: To provide a method for carbonylation reaction capable of using an inexpensive reactor material in a liquid-phase carbonylation reaction in the presence of a carbonylation metal complex catalyst and an alkyl iodide and to provide a reactor.
CONSTITUTION: In this method for reacting a raw material to be subjected to carbonylation reaction with carbon monoxide in the presence of a carbonylation metal complex catalyst and an alkyl iodide, a reactor comprising a reactor part A having at least its inner wall part composed of a titanium material and a reactor part B, positioned on the reactor part A, having at least its inner wall part composed of a titanium/palladium alloy material, wherein the titanium material and the titanium/palladium alloy material are connected in an integrated way in the reactor parts A and B and the connected part is positioned corresponding to the liquid phase part of the reactor, is used. The reaction is carried out in ≤10wt.% water concentration in the reaction solution to provide the objective method for carbonylation reaction.
