To provide a new heterogeneous reaction method capable of readily carrying out separation, recovery and reutilization of a catalyst in a heterogeneous reaction using a solid catalyst, readily advancing reaction without forcibly moving the reaction product and the catalyst and reducing environmental loading or production cost as clean reaction system and an interfacial catalyst suitably applicable for the method.
In this heterogeneous reaction method comprising reacting substances to be reacted in a heterogeneous system containing a solid-like interfacial catalyst and forming liquid/liquid interface, the interfacial catalyst is arranged in a position at which the catalyst comes into contact with the liquid/ liquid interface and the reaction is carried out by using the liquid/liquid interface as a reaction zone.
