Title:
METHOD FOR CASTING ALLOY, AND DIE-CAST MEMBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008229649
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for casting an alloy capable of developing parts made of a magnesium alloy, parts made of an aluminum alloy and parts made of a zinc alloy having excellent functionality such as corrosion resistance and, e.g., used for automobiles, consumer electronics and information appliances such as cellular phones and notebook computers and industrial machineries such as power tools and multipurpose engines, in a method of die casting.

Regarding the method for casting an alloy, a rare earth metal held at 873 K for 10 min in a vacuum or in an inert gas under 100 Pa is added into an alloy molten metal, so as to be a concentration of 0.01 to 1 mass%, also, the bubbling of gaseous Ar, He, Ne, SF6, CO2, SO2 or N2 is performed into the alloy molten metal, and, after the bubbling, or while performing the bubbling, the alloy molten metal subjected to the treatment is die-cast.
