To provide a method of casting a camshaft in which a rotating angle detection objective part is integrally formed at the outer circumferential part, with which the improvement of precision of the width dimensions in the circumferential direction of the rotating angle detection objective part is made possible; to provide a camshaft produced by using the casting method; and to provide molds for the camshaft used in the above casting method.
In the method of casting the camshaft, the camshaft in which the rotating angle detection objective part is integrally formed at the outer circumferential part is cast using first and second molds 14, 15. The first mold 14 has a parting continuous face 14a continuous from a parting face PS1 with the second mold 15. By the parting continuous face 14a, one side facing the circumferential direction of the rotating angle detection objective part is formed. The second mold 15 has a rotating angle detection objective part forming part 15a forming the part other than the one side face of the rotating angle detection objective part.
