Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent erosion of top part of a cladding material and to improve the product yield after rolling by fitting a chiller, which is not easily melted with molten base metal, on top part of the hung cladding material and executing the cast-in.
CONSTITUTION: The cladding material 3 is vertically hung in the mold setting the plate-like heat insulating material 2 on the inside 4 face at the top part of the mold 1 with the cladding material hanging rod 10. At the time of casting the molten base metal 4 by bottom pouring, the chiller 8, which is not easily melted with the molten base metal, is beforehand fitted to the top part of the cladding material 3. By this method, the product yield after rolling can be improved.
