Abstract:

To provide a casting method by which the inner peripheral surface excellent in a roundness can be achieved in an extremely simple method, as a casting method for an aluminum alloy-made cylinder block cast by inserting a cylinder liner, and a bore metallic mold pin used for this casting method.

The casting is performed so that the inner peripheral surface 21 of the cylinder liner 20 becomes completely round resulting from residual stress after casting. Concretely the cylinder liner 20 is set to the deformed bore metallic mold pin 30 expecting this deformed rate to perform the casting. Then, the bore metallic mold pin 30 used in the casting, is adjusted into the deformed shape in its cross section while expecting the deformation of the inner peripheral surface 21 of the cylinder liner 20 caused by the residual stress after casting.
