Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain lightening of a casting wheel by reducing the thickness of a part of the casting wheel corresponding to the thick part.
SOLUTION: In this casting method, a holder 15 is slid with a cotter 16 at a sliding part 16a without contact with molten metal and a mold 14 for as cast projects from an upper die 11. In this state, the casting is executed and the holder 15 is slid with the cotter 16 to house the mold 14 into the upper mold 11. Further, in this state, the die is opened and the product 17 is taken out of the die. In this case the casting device is composed of the mold 14 projecting from upper die 11 and housed into the upper die 11, the holder 15 for holding the mold 14 and the cotter 16 slidable with the holder 14 at the sliding part 16a without contact with the molten metal.
