This casting apparatus for metal is composed of a mold inclined angle driving device which disposes a pouring hole in the mold at the lower part of a molten metal discharging hole so as to pour the molten metal from the discharging hole having an opening/closing plug arranged in a molten metal receiving vessel and stands up the mold from almost the horizontal state to the vertical direction according to the pouring of the molten metal from the pouring hole, a molten metal surface level measuring device for measuring the surface level of the molten metal in the receiving vessel, a mold inclined angle measuring device for measuring the mold inclined angle, a molten metal distributing device for distributing the molten metal into the receiving vessel, a plug opening degree adjusting device for performing the opening degree adjustment of this plug and an automatic control unit which adjusts flowing speed and flowing rate of the molten metal flowing down while bringing into contact with the wall surface of the mold so as to match to the shape of the mold by outputting indicating information for working the molten metal distributing device, the mold inclined angle driving device and the plug opening degree adjusting device, after inputting the molten metal surface level, the mold inclined angle data and the opening degree data of the plug.
