To provide a method of casting molten steel capable of preventing a gate of a tundish from being plugged by a non-metal inclusion, capable of making the non-metal inclusion float up surely on a molten steel face in the tundish, and capable of casting stably a prescribed composition of casted piece.
This method of casting the molten steel M is constituted to cast the casted piece C, by feeding the molten steel M down from the gate 5 opened in a bottom face of the tundish 2 receiving the molten steel M, into a mold 8 arranged in an under side of the tundish 2, and includes the first step S1 for closing the gate 5 of the tundish 2 by a plug body 10 comprising a material such as wood burnt by the molten steel M, the second step S2 for supplying the molten steel M to an inside of the tundish 2 and for making the non-metal inclusion 20 contained in the molten steel M float up on the face of the supplied molten steel M, within a time when the plug bodies 10a, 10b are burnt or molten by the molten steel M, and the third step S3 for pouring down the molten steel M from the gate 5 of the tundish 2 into the mold 8, after the second step S2.
