Abstract:
To quickly execute the casting of a strap for connecting ear group of electrode plate group for a lead battery in comparison with the conventional casting method and cast the light-weight strap.
A piston is advanced and molten lead is supplied into a mold 3 up to the excessive supply level L1 shown by the virtual line, then the piston is retreated. Thereafter, the molten lead is forcedly lowered to a fixed quantity of the supply level L2 shown by the solid line equal to the height of a weir 9 from the excessive supply level L1. The fixed quantity of molten lead is retained in the cavity 8 and the ear group in the electrode plate group is dipped into the molten lead in the cavity.
