Title:
METHOD FOR CHANGING FOCAL POINT OF LENS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03260602
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make a focal point variable by arranging an elastic waveform band annular body and plural doughnutlike wedge plates on the periphery of a freely extensible double plate lens consisting of two single plate lenses and extending/contracting the double plate lens by rotating the wedge plates. CONSTITUTION:An airtight space is formed on the peripheries of two transparent and elastic single plate lenses to form a freely extensible double plate lens 1. The elastic waveform band annular body 3 consisting of an elastic material is arranged on the periphery of the lens 1 and two doughnut type wedge plates 4, 5 are rotatably arranged on the periphery of the body 3 so that the wedge directions are mutually reversed. The periphery of the lens 1 is extended/ contracted in the inner or outer direction by rotating the edge plates 4, 5 mutually in the reverse directions to change the focal point of the lens 1. When the wedge plates 4, 5 are most narrowed, a concave lens is formed, and when the plates 4, 5 are sufficiently opened, a convex lens is formed.
