PURPOSE: To improve the stability of production and the degree of freedom to use raw material by charging the raw material into the top part of a blast furnace with two series of carrying devices.
CONSTITUTION: The charging raw material into the blast furnace 13 is carried to the furnace top through a charging conveyor 12 and charged into the furnace opening part through a belt type distributing device composed of a small bell 8 and a large bell 7 from the furnace top part. A lifting magnet 1 and a crane 3 corresponding to this conventional bell type distributing charging device are arranged, and the carrying devices are made to be two series. Then iron scrap and iron piece are caught with the lifting magnet 1 and held up to vertical direction with the crane 3 and carried to a charging hopper 4 at the furnace top part. This raw material is charged into the furnace opening part through an equalizing chamber 5 and a chute 6 in the furnace. By this method, the material such as the iron scrap and iron piece which is sharp shape in and causes the cutting of the conveyer 12 can stably be used. Further, even one series of carrying device is damaged, the raw material can be carried with the another one series.
