PURPOSE: To improve metering feature and reduce the printing cost by selecting steps of ink metering to an ink supply roller and supplying ink on an inking roller only when it is touched to the ink supply roller.
CONSTITUTION: The metering step 4 consists of a combination of unit step 5 and the inking timing is controlled by the clock pulses generated by the rotation of the printing drum, for example at every 2 rotations or every 4 or 8 rotations. The inking roller 6 receives a given thickness of ink on the ink supply roller 3. A rider roller 7 contacts to the roller 6 and makes average the thickness of ink scattered on the roller 6. The ink is transferred from roller 6 to the 1st tempering drum 8 and reaches the printing drum through a set of rolls. The stepping type rotary driver 11 consists of a pulse splitter, an amplifier, and a stepping motor.
