Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practicable cleaning method which is capable of improving filiform corrosion resistance by selectively removing Cu from an Al alloy material containing Cu and is capable of cleaning the Al alloy material to get rid of the dirt by rolling mill lubricants, etc,.
SOLUTION: In cleaning the surface of the Al alloy material which contains ≥0.05% Cu and is used by being coated after a chemical conversion treatment, the surface of the Al alloy material is cleaned by an aqueous solution of a compound forming a complex with Cu, by which the Cu existing on the surface of the Al alloy material is removed and the Cu content of the surface of the Al alloy material is reduced to the Cu content in the Al alloy material itself or below.
