PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate or alleviate work for soot removal and reduce man-hours and costs required for it.SOLUTION: A single gas that reacts with carbon, which is a soot component, or a mixed gas comprising the single gas (excluding the air) is introduced into a furnace, to remove or peel off the soot deposited on a furnace internal member, where NH3 gas is used as the single gas, and a temperature inside the furnace is set at 700°C or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
