Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method of molten steel, with which inclusions in a tundish can surely and quickly be reduced without the problems on various quality and operation accompanying the lowering of molten steel temp.
SOLUTION: This cleaning method of the molten steel is the one which injects CaO flux containing one or plural kinds among Al, Zr, Ti and Mg on the molten steel surface by using the operating gas of a plasma heating device. Further, the cleaning method of the molten steel is characterized that the CaO flux containing one or plural kinds among Al, Zr, Ti and Mg is injected on the molten steel surface in a tundish for continuously casting the steel by using the operating gas of the plasma heating device.
