Title:
METHOD FOR CLEANING SOIL CONTAMINATED WITH HEAVY METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005103475
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for cleaning soil, which enables reliable cleaning of soil contaminated with heavy metals at low cost.

Soil contaminated with heavy metals is supplied into a rotary kiln 1 for heating soil, and then the soil is heated and dried. The fine soil portions, to which most heavy metals adhere, are made into a state of easily flying off. The fine soil portions containing heavy metals are stirred up by a gas stream that passes through within the rotary kiln 1. The fine soil portions are moved downstream together with the gas stream, thereby separating most of heavy metals from the soil. The exhaust gas is led into a dust collector 9, where the fine soil portions containing heavy metals are captured and collected.
