PURPOSE: To provide a method of docking a floating structure, according to which a part of a floating structure having a fairly large width is placed in an existing dock having a relatively small width, and the remainder of the floating structure is made to float on the outside sea, or otherwise part of the load is supported on the bottom of the sea, whereby it is enabled to dock a floating structure having a width larger than that of the existing dock.
